About Me — Jesse Clark
Hi! I’m Jesse.
If you’ve stumbled onto my little corner of the internet, welcome—I’m genuinely so glad you’re here. Meal prepping started for me in my early twenties when I was juggling a demanding job, a tiny apartment kitchen, and the kind of budget that made takeout feel like a luxury event. What began as a “please let me survive this week” strategy somehow turned into a full-blown passion.
Over the years, making intentional, delicious, realistic meals for myself became a grounding ritual, and eventually something I wanted to share with anyone else who might be feeling overwhelmed by the daily “what do I eat?” question.
By day, I work as a user experience designer at a wellness tech company, which means I spend a lot of time thinking about how people interact with tools meant to make their lives healthier and easier.
That mindset definitely bleeds into this blog—I love taking big, messy ideas and breaking them down into something simple, warm, and doable. When I’m not designing or cooking, you can usually find me experimenting with watercolor sketches, reorganizing my spice drawer for the hundredth time, or hiking one of the nearby forest trails. I have an embarrassingly large collection of cozy mystery paperbacks, and yes, I read them with a cup of tea like a 90-year-old librarian and have zero regrets.
I share my home with a very opinionated orange tabby named Crouton, who believes he is legally entitled to taste-test everything I cook. I also keep a little jungle of houseplants—my monstera, Maple, is basically my leafy child.

Meal Prep Journal is where all these pieces of my life come together: my love for good food, routines that make life gentler, creative projects, and simply wanting to help other people feel less stressed about feeding themselves. I hope that as you explore this space, you’ll find recipes, tips, and maybe even a little inspiration to build the kind of week that feels nourishing in every way.
